Small Japanese 'staircase chest' or Kaidan Tansu from the 1980s.

Dimensions: height 72 cm, width 64 cm, depth 36 cm.

This decorative chest has seven drawers that can be opened from both sides.

Larger versions of these chests were traditionally used in Japanese homes and served as both storage and stairs.

This more modern version is useful as a handy storage unit and can also serve as a unique display for plants, ceramics, or other small objects.
