A very beautiful set of 10 Wajima lacquerware serving bowls from 1975.
Complete with the original wooden storage box adorned with Japanese calligraphy.

Bowl with lid: height 8 cm, diameter 14 cm.
Storage box: height 28.5 cm, width 30 cm, depth 15 cm.
These wooden bowls are crafted using the high-quality Wajima lacquer technique and are decorated with a hand-painted pattern of sakura blossoms and gold-colored decorative motifs. The artist’s gold-colored signature is found on the bottom of the bowls.
Traditionally, these bowls were used for serving food during meals, often on special occasions, due to their beautiful and traditional design.
This set is in excellent condition and makes a wonderful authentic Japanese decorative accent for any interior.
The set comes with a wooden storage box.
