Vintage ceramic chawan (matcha bowl) from Japan.

Dimensions: height 8 cm, diameter 11 cm.

This earthenware bowl features a beautiful speckled purple/lilac glaze.

The bowl is in perfect condition and bears the stamped mark of the kiln on the bottom.

Chawan are used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony for drinking green tea.
