Vintage haribako sewing chest (針箱) from Japan, dating to the 1940s. This charming wooden storage piece features four drawers of varying sizes and a top compartment that opens with a hinged lid.

Dimensions: Height: 26 cm, Width: 32.5 cm, Depth: 19.5 cm

Inside the top compartment are removable wooden trays, originally used to organize sewing tools. Behind the trays is a hidden smaller drawer — a thoughtful and practical detail.

The drawers are fitted with metal handles, and the chest has a warm reddish-brown patina with characterful signs of age that enhance its vintage appeal.
