This four-panel room screen features a breathtaking mountain landscape, painted with delicate brushstrokes on ultra-thin silk, meticulously mounted on paper. The composition reflects the classical sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) style and includes a calligraphic inscription with a red hanko seal, the artist's signature.
The calligraphy on the left side of the screen reads:
Takamine Yūfū – "The majestic wind of the high peaks"
Bundō Gaki – "Painted by Bundō"
The screen is framed in sturdy wood with elegant copper-toned metal fittings, enhancing its classic appeal. The back is simply and neutrally finished.
This artistic room screen is in excellent condition, with only minimal signs of age.
