Mid-Century Ceramic Ikebana Centerpiece, Japan, 1960s–70s
A striking mid-century ikebana piece with an elongated, organic form.
Dimensions: height 12 cm, width 32 cm, depth 13 cm
The rim is composed of playful, curled segments that give the vessel a dynamic and sculptural character. As a result, it works not only as a container for floral arrangements but also stands out as a decorative artwork in its own right.
The glaze features a fresh and cheerful palette: bright yellow along the upper edge, gently shifting into olive and moss green, and finished with a deep black tone at the base. Fine crackle in the glaze enhances its vintage appeal, while the warm terracotta underside reveals its handcrafted nature.
An original sticker label with the inscription 秘色 (Hisoku) is still present.
A rare and collectible piece that instantly brings joy through its playful form and lively colors.
In excellent condition, with no damage or restorations.
