Beautiful antique Japanese Daikoku Jizai Kagi (大黒自在鉤) from the late Edo period.

Dimensions: height 42 cm, width 28 cm, depth 14 cm.

The charred black wood has acquired a beautiful weathered patina.

This authentic and traditional wooden object is a stunning eye-catcher and interior accent.

A Daikoku Jizai Kagi is an adjustable hook traditionally used to hang pots and kettles above an open hearth (irori) for cooking.
