Antique Japanese Low Writing Table, Fuzukue, c. 1900

Low Japanese writing table from the Meiji period, with a strong, restrained design and a beautiful dark patina built up over the years.

Dimensions: height 30 cm, width 97 cm, depth 44 cm.

The lines are simple, yet the table gains extra character from the elegant shaping of the legs, which gives it a light and refined appearance. Beneath the top are two practical drawers with understated metal handles, discreetly integrated into the design. The wide top makes this piece not only useful as a writing table, but also particularly suitable as a coffee table, side table, or low display piece.
