Gorgeous wooden Japanese Kake-suzuri (懸硯) from the Meiji period.
Dimensions: height 52 cm, width 45 cm, depth 33 cm.
This decorative piece of furniture features seven drawers with beautiful metal handles.
At the bottom right, there is a small door hiding the two smallest drawers.
Originally serving as a storage unit for important documents, this tansu likely belonged to a merchant.
