Beautiful handmade masterpiece.

Japanese stoneware "Chatsubo".
A typical example of the Japanese wabi sabi aesthetic.
Natural, rustic, serenity and strength.
Proud, solid shape with a sublime surface patina from years of cherishing this object.

Originally used to store tea during the Shogun and Samurai era.
Later they became valuable exhibits during the tea ceremony.
Still much appreciated today.
