Art Deco Display Bust with Blonde Real Hair, c. 1920–1930

A rare Art Deco display bust with a blue-grey face, refined facial features and a striking blonde hairstyle.

This authentic mannequin bust was originally used as a shop display for fashion, hats, jewellery or accessories. The head is made from an early synthetic material and stands on an asymmetrical black and gold-coloured base, giving the piece an elegant, almost theatrical presence.

The face is beautifully stylised, with closed eyes, soft make-up accents and a distinct Art Deco silhouette. The blonde hairstyle, made from real hair, gives the bust a strange yet highly refined character.
