Beautiful antique Japanese sewing chest from the 1920s.

Dimensions: Height: 27 cm, Width: 30 cm, Depth: 18 cm.

This exquisite chest features four drawers of varying sizes and a top storage compartment accessible via a hinged lid.

Inside the compartment, there is a spool or thread holder that can be extended and adjusted to different heights. This design makes it easier to unwind thread without tangling, enhancing the efficiency of your sewing process.

At the back of the haribako (sewing box), a slot is provided for storing a measuring ruler (37 cm).

The chest is finely crafted with mulberry wood veneer, known for its unique patterns and undulating grain, which are beautifully visible on the surface. The piece is further adorned with copper fittings, adding a touch of elegance and bears the stamp of the furniture maker on the bottom.
