Gilt Jue-Inspired Incense Burner – 1960s
This decorative incense burner from the 1960s is inspired by the form of the archaic Chinese jue.
Dimensions: height 26 cm, width 25 cm, depth 13 cm.
The removable upper section is adorned with a stylized stag’s head with antlers, featuring two crescent-shaped openings designed to let the incense smoke escape.
The vessel rests on three slender legs and is richly decorated with geometric motifs in an archaic style. A small side handle reinforces the reference to the original ritual wine vessel. Its gilt surface lends the piece a luxurious presence, while light traces of wear enhance its authentic character.
A striking decorative object that functions both as an incense burner and as a sculptural accent, adding symbolism and personality to any interior.
