Decorative Japanese bamboo basket with family crest.

Dimensions: height 44 cm, width 80 cm, depth 48 cm.

The basket is constructed of wood and bamboo, finished with woven reed.

The interior is lined with Japanese rice paper featuring calligraphy.

This type of basket was used for storing textiles and for transportation during travels.

The basket consists of two parts that fit together and can be tied closed with a rope.

A unique interior object and storage furniture that can even be used as a side table.

This basket can be picked up at our store in Antwerp, Belgium.
