Hand-Painted Chinese Landscape Vase – Poetic Mountain Scene, 1960

An elegant, hand-painted vase from China featuring a serene mountain landscape in classical style, complete with a calligraphic signature by the artist Qìng Jūn.

Dimensions: height 37 cm, diameter 16 cm.

This piece was produced around 1960 and bears no mark on the base, indicating that it was likely made in a studio setting for the domestic market.

The vase has a tall, slender shape and is entirely hand-painted using delicate brushstrokes that resemble ink and watercolor techniques. The front displays a tranquil riverside scene with pine forests, rocky cliffs, traditional pavilions, and classic sailing boats. A flock of birds drifts between the mountain peaks, lending the scene a poetic and meditative quality.

On the reverse, a calligraphic inscription includes the artist's name and a reference to the year 壬寅 – likely corresponding to 1962. The surface is subtly glazed with a light craquelure, giving the piece a warm, vintage appearance.

A timeless decorative object that brings calm and sophistication to any interior – perfect as a standalone art piece or as an elegant vase for simple branches or flowers.

In very good condition.
