Product Details

An elegant Japanese ceramic flower vase from Kyoto, crafted by Tachikichi in the 1970s. This piece belongs to the Hisui (翡翠, jade) series and is a fine example of Kyō-yaki, the refined pottery tradition for which Kyoto has long been celebrated.

Dimensions: height 24.5 cm, diameter 11 cm.

The vase has a modern, squared form with gentle curves in the body. A dark, lustrous ground is interrupted by a vivid jade-green band with a speckled glaze, creating a lively sense of depth. This balance of clean form and subtle colour nuance makes it highly suitable for ikebana arrangements, while also strong enough to stand on its own as an art object.

A kiln mark of Tachikichi is impressed on the underside. The vase is in perfect condition and comes with its original wooden tomobako (storage box), inscribed and sealed by the atelier.

A stylish and collectible work, perfect for lovers of Japanese ceramics and refined interiors.
