Japanese Go Set in Keyaki Wood with Shell and Slate Stones, 1950s

Beautiful vintage Japanese Go set, entirely handcrafted from solid keyaki wood (zelkova). The thick board rests on four elegantly shaped wooden legs, and the original grid lines remain in excellent condition.

Dimensions: height 30 cm, width 46 cm, depth 42 cm. Weight: 16 kg.

The set includes two wooden gokei bowls with the original stones: white stones made from polished clam shell, and black stones made from glossy slate. The set is complete with the correct number of stones.
