Japanese Metal Medical Cabinet, Taiho Koki, Tokyo, 1960s.
Clean-lined display cabinet with double glass doors and adjustable glass shelves.
Dimensions: height 170 cm, width 75 cm, depth 36 cm.
Perforated uprights run the full height inside, allowing the five glass shelves to be easily set at different levels. The doors operate smoothly, and the original cream-white paint shows an appealing industrial patina.
The maker’s plate on the front identifies the piece as manufactured by Taiho Koki in Tokyo.
Good overall condition with normal signs of use (no keys); only superficial rust to the feet and a few paint chips, as shown in the photos.
Highly versatile: use as a display cabinet for ceramics or collections, a kitchen cupboard for tableware and glass, or a rugged cabinet for the bathroom or studio. A characterful, functional piece with an authentic vintage industrial look.
