Product Details

This Japanese etching by Kōichi Fukuoka depicts two monumental round silos in a restrained yet powerful composition. The heavy stone volumes, dark roofs, and narrow gap between the two towers create a quiet, almost architectural tension.

Dimensions: height 42 cm, width 35 cm, depth 2.5 cm.

The etching is signed, titled, and numbered 19/100 at the bottom. The title most likely reads Nichitsu Academy Silo, which gives the work not only strong graphic presence, but also suggests a very specific place with an industrial or institutional history.

The print is executed in a striking black-and-white contrast, with lively linework and rich texture in the masonry. It is precisely this combination of precision and irregularity that gives the image its depth and character.

Beautifully framed with a mount and ready to hang. A strong graphic work for collectors of Japanese printmaking, architectural subjects, and restrained, timeless interiors.

The signature at lower right reads Kōichi Fukuoka. Online sources describe him as a Japanese artist and copperplate printmaker born in Hokkaido in 1947.

Beautifully framed and in very good condition, with only very light foxing to the mount consistent with age.
