Gorgeous set of Hina dolls: Emperor and Empress, dressed in costumes from the Heian era (794-1185).

Still in the original wooden cases, with name tag and all accessories.

Materials: silk, textile, wood, copper, ceramic.

Dimensions of one wooden case: height 25 cm x width 28 cm x depth 32 cm. In excellent condition.

A "Hina Doll" (also known as "Hinamatsuri Doll" or "Girls' Day Doll") is a traditional Japanese doll used on the occasion of Hinamatsuri, a Japanese festival also known as "Girls' Day" or "Doll Festival". Hinamatsuri is celebrated every year on March 3rd and aims to celebrate the health and happiness of girls in the family.
