Product Details

A beautiful Japanese kazari-dana from the 1970s–80s, distinguished by its refined asymmetrical design and exquisite woodwork.

Dimensions: H 121.5 × W 116 × D 36 cm. Weight: 61 kg.

Crafted from solid wood with exceptionally rich, flowing grain and a warm reddish-brown finish, this substantial cabinet is a fine example of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

The kazari-dana combines the elegance of a Japanese display cabinet with the practical storage of a traditional cha-dansu (tea cabinet).

The lower section features three spacious drawers, with separate compartments above fitted with sliding and hinged doors. The open central section offers an elegant arrangement of staggered display shelves, enhanced by delicately carved leaf motifs. At the very top, an additional storage compartment is concealed behind four small sliding wooden panels.

The combination of graceful lines, beautifully figured wood and subtle decorative details gives this cabinet its distinctive character.

In excellent vintage condition, with only minimal signs of use.

Both practical and decorative, this exceptional storage and display cabinet brings warmth, character and an authentic Japanese atmosphere to any interior.
