Low Japanese cabinet with storage space from the Meiji period.
Dimensions: height 42.5 cm, width 85 cm, depth 41.5 cm.
This traditional chest of drawers is made of paulownia wood and has developed a warm patina over the years.
The storage space is divided by a convenient shelf inside, and the cabinet door features beautifully shaped metal lockwork.
Due to its low height, this practical storage unit is also perfect for use as a unique display for plants, ceramics, or other art objects. An authentic tansu that brings a serene accent to any stylish interior.
Ko-dansu were traditionally used to store various personal items or clothing and were often placed on the floor or on raised platforms.
