Product Details

Fumidai 踏み台, Japan (literal translation: stepping stool).

Dimensions: Height 70 cm, width 46 cm, depth 37 cm.

This fumidai features an elegant design and a removable step, making it usable as a storage piece as well. It is ideal for displaying various objects such as plants, ceramics, kokeshi dolls, and art pieces.

The underside has an opening due to a missing shelf.

Originally, these wooden stepping stools were an essential part of traditional Japanese households.

Their simplicity and the weathered wood from extensive use have transformed them into beautiful decorative items.
