Traditional Mizusashi (水指), or water container, adorned with beautifully decorative glaze.

Dimensions: height 20 cm, diameter 16 cm.

This Mizu Sashi features a classic shape with a lid and a handle that has been handwoven from clay. The pottery is covered in a thick, swirling brown glaze.

This traditional water jar was crafted and stamped by Noma Gazan (間野雅山), a ceramicist working within the Agano/Takatori tradition, also known as Natsuyoshi Yaki (夏吉焼).
