Organic Ikebana Flower Vase by Maruta Yasuyoshi, 1970s.
This exceptional Japanese ikebana vase was crafted in the 1970s by Maruta Yasuyoshi of the renowned Maruta Kiln.
Dimensions: height 29 cm, diameter 11 cm.
The vase boasts an organic, almost sculptural form with a subtly tapered waist, giving it an elegant and natural silhouette. The glaze reveals a soft blue-gray surface with hints of white and earthy brown tones along the upper and lower edges.
The lightly irregular finish and subtle color gradations lend the vase a pure and authentic character, wholly aligned with the wabi-sabi aesthetic—the Japanese appreciation for imperfection, transience, and simplicity.
Perfect for minimalist floral arrangements or as an understated focal point in a Japanese-inspired interior.
The vase is in perfect condition, accompanied by its original tomobako (wooden storage box), a kiln stamp on the base, and documentation (biography) of the potter.
Maruta Yasuyoshi is celebrated for his rustic, natural ceramics that reflect the beauty of craftsmanship and the surrounding environment.
