Product Details

Mingei utilitarian tool traditionally used for everyday spinning. It has a wonderful patina and this great ‘architectural’ piece creates interesting shadow effects with spotlight on it.

Material: cryptomeria wood and bamboo.

Dimensions: 51 inch x 25,60 inch x 17 inch (130 cm x 65 cm x 43 cm).
This spinning wheel was used to spin thread for kimonos. Silk pupae were used for this.
To be picked up in our store in Antwerp.
