A stunning set of eight Japanese wooden serving tables from the Taishō period, complete with the original wooden storage chest.

Along with this set, there is an additional display table and two round trays that nest together.

These tables were utilized for presenting and serving dishes during ceremonies and festivities.

The interior features red urushi lacquer, while the exterior is black lacquered. The raised edge is finished with gold accents.

The serving table rests on four beautifully shaped legs.

The wooden storage chest features a removable panel and two metal handles for ease of transport.

This is a rare and complete set originating from an old stock.
