Beautiful set of six Japanese serving tables with original wooden storage box, from the Taishō period.

Dimensions of table: height 9.5 cm, width 29.5 cm, depth 29.5 cm.

Dimensions of storage box: height 46 cm, width 43.5 cm, depth 44 cm.

This type of tables was used to present and serve dishes at ceremonies and festivities.

The interior is red urushi lacquer, and the exterior is black lacquered. The raised edge is finished with gold.

The serving table rests on four beautifully shaped legs.
