Set of Japanese Lacquerware Bowls – Wajima-nuri, Takasu-dō Ōmukai, 1970s
This refined set of five Japanese lacquerware bowls with lids was crafted by Takasu-dō Ōmukai in the renowned Wajima-nuri tradition (輪島塗), celebrated for its exceptional durability and masterful craftsmanship.
Dimensions: height 9.5 cm, diameter 12 cm.
The bowls are finished in deep black lacquer, adorned with elegant circular motifs in warm red and gold. The striking contrast of colors lends the set a festive character, while the smooth, glossy finish highlights the superior quality of the workmanship.
