Set of Round Wooden Urushi Lacquerware Trays, Meiji Period.
This exquisite set of antique Japanese lacquer trays from circa 1900 is a refined example of traditional craftsmanship.
The trays are crafted from wood and finished with a deep chestnut-red urushi lacquer, giving them a warm and luxurious appearance.
Dimensions: height 2 cm, diameter 27 cm.
The surface is hand-decorated with a gold-colored painting depicting a serene mountain landscape, complete with a pine tree and traditional ships. The slightly raised rim also features a gold finish, while the underside is coated in a contrasting black lacquer.
On the bottom, the trays bear a hallmark consisting of two overlapping rings.
Due to the natural aging of the wood over time, some signs of wear are visible, enhancing the charm and character of this set.
A timeless and elegant piece that brings a serene Japanese atmosphere to any interior.
