Pair of Vintage Ceramic Vases – 1950s, Calabria, Italy

A decorative pair of ceramic vases from Calabria, Southern Italy, dating from the 1950s.

Their elegant, elongated silhouettes and decorative scroll handles reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Southern Italian ceramics.

Dimensions per vase: H 30 × W 18 × D 16.5 cm.

The beautiful olive-green dripping glaze, enriched with dark earthy tones, creates a striking contrast with the natural, unglazed lower sections. Subtle variations in shape and finish, together with their authentic patina, highlight the artisanal character of this remarkable pair.

Two characterful ceramic pieces that make beautiful decorative accents, either displayed on their own or used as flower vases with suitable inner containers. Particularly striking when presented together on a console, sideboard or in a contemporary interior featuring natural materials.

In good vintage condition, with normal signs of age, areas of glaze wear and a beautiful, timeworn patina.
