Expertly adorned with the traditional gold Maki-e technique (蒔絵), the piece showcases subtle Raden accents (螺鈿), with the mother-of-pearl creating an elegant shimmering effect on the bamboo motifs.
On the back of the hibachi, two birds are depicted in flight, rendered in Maki-e.
