This beautiful Nagahibachi, dating from the late Meiji period (1868-1912), was originally designed as a heating piece of furniture. The copper insert was filled with charcoal, which was used to heat rooms and serve as a central spot for warmth and gathering in traditional Japanese homes.

The Nagahibachi is made from warm chestnut-brown wood, featuring three practical drawers and sturdy metal handles on both sides.
