Product Details
This authentic Japanese tea ceremony set includes everything you need to bring the essence of the Japanese tea ceremony into your home.
The set consists of a furo (fire pot), sumitori-bo (charcoal tongs), bags of hai (ash), a gotoku (kettle stand), a jita (bottom tile), and the original wooden box. This carefully curated set embodies the simplicity and refinement characteristic of the Japanese tea ceremony.
A beautiful piece for lovers of Japanese culture, ideal as a decorative element, collector's item, and of course, to enjoy your own tea ceremony in style.
This set includes:
- Furo (風炉): An elegant copper fire pot, designed to hold the tea kettle above the fire. The furo has a round shape and rests on three small legs, providing a stable base. Dimensions: height 26 cm, diameter 40 cm.
- Gotoku (五徳): This is the three-legged stand within the furo, intended to hold the tea kettle. The gotoku keeps the kettle stable and evenly heated, which is essential for preparing tea.
- Sumitori-bo (炭取箸): These are the long metal tongs used to safely handle charcoal. They allow careful adjustment of the charcoal layer in the furo to evenly distribute the heat.
- Hai (灰): Two bags of ash that are placed at the base of the furo to help evenly spread the heat.
- Jita (地板): A flat tile that sits at the bottom of the furo. The jita protects the furo from direct heat from the charcoal and ensures good heat distribution.
- Furodai (風炉台): A wooden lacquered plank placed under the furo to provide stability and protect the floor. This plank is broken into two pieces, as shown in the photo.
- Gotoku (五徳): Metal three-legged stand with bottom tile.
