Product Details

Beautiful vintage Cha Tansu, Japanese tea cabinet from the 1920s.

Dimensions: height 104.5 cm, width 75 cm, depth 28.5 cm.

This elegant Cha Tansu combines functionality with refined design. The lower section features two practical drawers and a storage space with two wooden sliding doors and one regular door.

The middle section serves as a beautiful display cabinet, closed off with beveled glass sliding doors. Inside, there is a small drawer and a compartment covered with decorated fabric and enclosed with sliding doors. Additionally, there is a small storage space lined with silver-colored decorative paper, sealed with a glass door. Originally, this section was used to display traditional tea ceremony items.

At the very top, there is an extra storage space with four sliding doors, perfect for storing dishes, accessories, or other valuable items.

This vintage Cha Tansu is not only a functional piece of furniture but also brings a serene, Japanese atmosphere to any interior.

A Cha Tansu, also known as Chabitsu or Chagama Tansu, is specifically designed to store and display items used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. "Cha" means tea, and "Tansu" refers to a cabinet or storage furniture.
