Vintage Japanese Oronamin C Advertising Sign, 1965–1970

Original Japanese metal advertising sign for Oronamin C, issued by Otsuka Chemical. Japan, circa 1965–1970.

Dimensions: height 60 cm, width 40 cm, depth 5 cm.

The sign combines a characterful portrait illustration with original Japanese typography and the well-known slogan 元気ハツラツ！, loosely translated as “full of energy”. Signs of use, discolouration and areas of rust give the surface a distinctive vintage patina.

Today, it works beautifully as a graphic wall object in a Japanese, industrial or eclectic interior.

Good vintage condition with clear signs of age and use consistent with the material and period.
