Vintage Japanese Ikebana Vase, Nōshū (Mino) Hanemon-gama, 1970s
A unique vintage stoneware ikebana vase with a broad, gently flared neck that gives the silhouette extra strength. The shape is simple yet distinctive, with a calm, understated presence.
Dimensions: height 20 cm, diameter 16 cm.
The glaze flows in warm sand and honey tones, with soft variations and a subtly lively surface. An incised decoration wraps around the body, reminiscent of wind-swept reeds or grasses, with darker accents here and there adding depth.
Two small, ear-shaped side handles provide a refined detail and make the profile even stronger.
The original label reads: Nōshū (Mino region, Gifu) – Hanemon-gama (kiln name), placing the piece within the Mino tradition.
A stylish, natural accent that fits effortlessly into Japandi, minimalist, or warmly eclectic interiors, and works beautifully with seasonal flowers or a single branch.
In perfect condition.
