Vintage 'Sabatō' Incense Crate from Japan, 1950s

This wooden crate was originally used in the 1950s for transporting Japanese incense from the Sabatō brand.

Dimensions: height 43 cm, width 56 cm, depth 32 cm.

It features inscriptions in red and black characters, including “quality incense – 100 sticks”, with the brand name サバトー prominently centered. Both sides of the crate are marked with additional lettering and a beautifully printed emblem of an eagle – a symbol of vigilance, strength, and reliability.

Perfect as a decorative piece with functional use: stand it upright as a striking display or lay it flat as a characterful side table.
