The title "Sho Chiku Bai" refers to three traditional symbols in Japanese culture: pine (shō), bamboo (chiku), and plum blossom (bai). Together, they are known as the “Three Friends of Winter”—a beloved motif representing resilience, perseverance, and purity, and often associated with good fortune and new beginnings.
