Product Details

Vintage sorting box originating from the Japanese post office in Osaka, dating back to the 1940s.

Dimensions: height 38 cm, width 57 cm, depth 37 cm.

The box is made of sturdy, leather-like cardboard, reinforced at the corners and bottom with metal protection.

Two handles are provided on the sides for easy carrying.

The front and back display the logo of the Japanese post office 〒 and the text: 大阪郵政局 (Osaka Post Office).

A rare and decorative item with historical significance, suitable for use as a magazine holder, clothing storage, and more.

〒 (郵便記号, yūbin kigō) is the service mark of Japan Post and its successor, Japan Post Holdings, the postal operator in Japan. It is also used as a Japanese postal code mark since the introduction of the latter in 1968.
