Set of Steelcase i2i Lounge Chairs, USA, 2011

These examples were produced in 2011 and beautifully illustrate how ergonomics, technology and design come together in a single chair.

The i2i was specifically developed for modern meeting rooms and creative collaboration spaces, where people stay in conversation but constantly change posture. The special mechanism allows both the seat and the upper shell to move independently: the chair swivels as you turn, then gently returns to its original position. This way you naturally remain oriented towards the table or screen, without having to think about it.

The wide bucket seat with integrated armrests creates an enveloping, almost lounge-like feel, while the elastic mesh back provides ventilation and comfortable support. The thickly padded seat offers long-lasting comfort, ideal for extended meetings or informal discussions. The polished metal star base completes the design with a clean, timeless silhouette.

This set of two i2i chairs is in excellent used condition, with only minor signs of careful use.
