Softline ‘Eden’ Lounge Chair, Denmark, 2014

Beautiful Danish lounge chair from Softline, model Eden, designed in 2014 by the award-winning design duo Busk + Hertzog.

Dimensions: height 85 cm, width 75 cm, depth 92 cm, seat height 39 cm.

The chair received a Good Design Award in the same year, thanks to its sculptural form and exceptional comfort.

The generous, organically shaped shell feels soft and embracing, with subtle stitching lines inspired by the aesthetics of sports car interiors. The upholstery is a luxurious velvet fabric in a soft blue-green shade. The light variations in colour and sheen visible in the photos are characteristic of velvet: the fibres catch the light differently depending on direction, creating a lively, elegant play of texture. In reality, the fabric is in perfect condition.

The dark wooden base provides a calm and modern contrast to the soft seat, giving the chair a timeless and architectural presence. The Eden lounge chair is ideal for a reading corner, living room, bedroom or a stylish lobby or reception area.
