Authentic antique set of Japanese traditional lacquerware with original storage chest from the early Shōwa period.

Dimensions of the storage chest: 91 cm x 35 cm x 35 cm.

All components are made of wood coated with several layers of black, glossy lacquer with a red mark.

These tables and bowls were used to present and serve dishes during ceremonies and festivities.

The serving tables and bowls are very original decorative accents that will give any interior a serene Japanese touch.

This set consists of 5 presentation tables, one round chabako (tea box), one round tray, and the set of bowls includes 29 pieces (total bowls + lids).

The wooden storage chest is divided into compartments and has a removable panel with handwritten calligraphy (double-sided).

The text indicates the date, Shōwa 3 or 1928, and the family name.

The set is in good condition with normal signs of aging typical of lacquerware.

This set can be picked up in our store in Antwerp, Belgium.
