Antique Japanese scroll or kakemono with the image of Daikokuten.

Size: 111 cm x 58 cm.
The drawing and calligraphy are hand painted.
Daikokuten is one of the seven gods of fortune (Shichifukujin) in the Japanese religion. Daikokuten is the god of wealth, trade and agriculture, often depicted with a magic hammer (uchide no kozuchi) and a bag of treasures.
The translation of the Japanese calligraphy: "God of Wealth Daikokuten, Dispeller of disasters and misfortunes."
With this authentic scroll, Daikokuten was invoked for protection from natural disasters and misfortune.
