Product Details

Authentic etching by Swedish artist Börje Sandelin, known under the title Kvinna i Dörr, or Woman in the Doorway. The work is signed in pencil and numbered 6/150.

Frame dimensions: height 40 cm, width 32 cm, depth 1 cm.
Passe-partout opening: height 21.5 cm, width 16.5 cm.

The work depicts a mysterious female figure standing in a doorway. The composition is built up with deep black areas, fine nervous etched lines and strong contrasts between light and shadow. The partly hidden posture of the figure, the pale dress and the dark interior behind her create a quiet, almost cinematic tension.

The etching is beautifully framed with a passe-partout behind glass in a simple wooden frame. The paper and passe-partout show light age-related traces and natural toning, consistent with the age of the work. This patina adds to the charm and mysterious atmosphere of the piece. Overall, the work remains in very good vintage condition.

A refined and atmospheric Scandinavian etching from the 1950s, ideal for lovers of original printmaking, modernist art and subtle high-end interior decoration.
