The tabletop is finished with 'Tsugaru' lacquerwork, a technique involving the application and polishing of multiple layers of lacquer on a wooden base, resulting in a colorful, glossy pattern and durable finish.
The tabletop also features fine accents of inlaid mother-of-pearl (Raden 螺鈿).
