Product Details

Very decorative traditional Kendo mask (Men 面) from the 1940s.

Dimensions: height 43 cm, width 24 cm, depth 24 cm.

The mask is made of quilted indigo textile, leather, and a metal cage for face protection.

The Kendo mask is in very good condition and has acquired a beautiful patina.

On the inside, there is a fabric label indicating that the mask belonged to a student named Okano Moritaro, who was in his third year at Ueda Middle School in 1946.
