Product Details

An atmospheric Japanese home shrine, a kamidana in sanja-miya form, with three separate compartments and hinged doors.

Dimensions: height 39 cm, width 60 cm, depth 25 cm.

This wooden kamidana is designed as a small architectural temple structure, with layered roof sections, delicate balustrades, steps and gold-coloured decorative details. The three compartments refer to the traditional sanja-miya layout, in which several protective kami or household divinities can be placed in Japan.

With its warm wood tone, rich detailing and serene presence, this piece also works beautifully today as a meaningful interior object. Perfect on a cabinet, low table or sideboard, possibly combined with ceramics, plants, books or small personal objects.

In beautiful condition, with some older repairs and small missing elements that are not disturbing. Overall, the piece remains highly decorative, balanced and atmospheric.
