Japanese Haribako, a wooden sewing chest with three drawers from the 1970s.

Dimensions: height 24 cm, width 22 cm, and depth 18 cm.

The front is beautifully detailed and decorated with a hand carved bamboo motif in Kamakura Bori lacquer, featuring the characteristic deep red color. On the back, the year 1975 and the fact that it was an 88th birthday gift are inscribed in Japanese calligraphy.

A perfect storage piece for jewelry, keys, writing materials, hobby supplies, fitting seamlessly into any stylish interior.

A Haribako (針箱) is a Japanese sewing box designed to store sewing and embroidery supplies.

The chest is in good condition with some visible signs of use on the front.
