Stylish Japanese Two-Piece Storage Cabinet

This type of cabinet was traditionally used for storing clothing, such as kimonos and accessories.

The upper section opens with two hinged doors (Kannon Biraki) and contains two spacious drawers.

The lower section features two large drawers and two smaller drawers.

This tansu features beautifully shaped metal fittings on the front, giving the cabinet a unique character.

The Isho tansu has developed a lovely patina over time and is in good condition, though without a key.
